This Privacy Policy describes how FLY Antarctica (“the App”) collects, uses and protects information when you use our mobile application.

“We”, “us” and “our” refer to LATIN AMERICAN TOURS LATOUR SOC LTDA, the owner and operator of FLY Antarctica, based in Santiago de Chile.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We designed FLY Antarctica to collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the App reliably.

When you use the App, we may collect and store the following information:

  • Device UID — A unique identifier generated by the App and associated with your device. This identifier does not contain your name, email, phone number, or any other direct personal data.
  • Platform Information — Your device operating system (e.g., iOS or Android) and basic version / build information.

We do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
  • Payment or financial information
  • Location data (GPS)
  • Contacts, photos, or other content stored on your device
  • Tracking information for advertising across other apps or websites

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the device UID and platform information solely for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the App — Ensure that the App works correctly on your device and can fetch the correct content for your voyage.
  • To associate your device with your voyage content — The UID helps us link your device to the expedition or hotel information you are authorized to view.
  • To improve reliability and support — Understand which platforms and app versions are in use so we can fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.

We do not use this information for:

  • Advertising or marketing
  • Tracking you across other apps or websites
  • Building a profile about you as an individual

3. Legal Basis (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process this limited data based on:

  • Legitimate interests — to provide and support the App, and to ensure its security and performance.

4. Data Retention

We retain the device UID and platform information only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide access to the App and your voyage content
  • Maintain a secure and stable service

If we no longer need the data for these purposes, we will delete it or anonymize it.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data.

We may share your device UID and platform information only in the following limited cases:

  • Service providers — With trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the App (for example, hosting providers). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
  • Legal requirements — If required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests (e.g., a court order or government request).

We do not share your data with advertising networks or data brokers.

6. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where we transfer data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that an adequate level of protection is in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect, including:

  • Using secure servers and restricted access
  • Limiting the data we store to the minimum necessary

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

FLY Antarctica is intended for use by adult guests and guardians traveling on organized expeditions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

If you believe that a child has provided us with information, please contact us at trafico@latourchile.cl so we can delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of that information
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your information
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

Because we only store a device UID and platform information, these rights may be limited in practice, but we will always do our best to honor any request where applicable.

The App may display or link to third-party content (for example, maps, videos, or restaurant information). These third parties may have their own privacy practices and policies. We encourage you to review their privacy policies, as we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
